Cash Cows

Wow!?!  Is the right to make a profit a right that we all have?  Or just some of us?  As someone who works in an "employment at will" state, which means you can literally be fired because someone doesn't like the way you look, I wonder how it is that Bank of America can justify that they have a right to profit.  I don't think anyone would dispute they have a right to try to earn a profit, my problem is that they feel they are entitled to a specific amount of profit.  Even after the government (for the people) said to the banks, "Hey, what your doing is wrong," they still have the audacity to blatantly find new ways to gouge customers.

I feel like I'm worth at least a million.  Just for my sparkling company.  Unfortunately, I haven't found anyone who has agreed to pay me what I think I'm worth.  Nor have I found a way to gouge the money from the people around me.  What a big load of poo to insinuate that you have a right to make a certain amount of money.  This is America and I say go for it.  But, I will always, always, always mostly side with the little person.  What's so great about BoA's bank card that it is worth $60 each year?  They assume their customers will be too lazy to switch banks to teach them a lesson.  If customers can influence Walmart when they tried to limit the brand selection in their stores or Netflix, then the same customers can also put a hurtin' on Bank of America.

We are submerged in the Age of Money where corporations are people too (ridiculous!) and are free to participate in the government for the people by the people.  I have never really been about getting married but knowing that corporations are people, I am completely willing to entertain the idea of marriage.  So, if any corporations wants to hook up with a dependent tax write off, give me a call.  We, the 99%, haven't given all of our money away yet.  If $ = votes, then vote with your $.  The less money you have, the more each dollar counts.  If you only have $20 to spend on groceries, then what you choose to buy with that money says a lot.  Fortunately Miller Lite is always on sale somewhere.  And then you have enough money left over to buy frozen burritos to carry you through the week.  When you think about what you have to do come home with that $20, what you have to put up with, it should really make you think about the value of what you are getting for your money.  Are you spending your money at Target so they can sponsor Republican candidates who want to take all your rights and money away?  Are you spending your money at McDonald's for food so cheap that it is killing us so a few people can be wealthy?

We have to get off the autopilot.  We need to start making conscious decisions.  Instead of letting our days melt away in a stream of mindless actions that only generate a steady cash flow to a few who do everything in their power to get more of our money all the time for things we don't need or that are bad for us we need to think about how we are going to get some of our money back. In the end we are left empty, powerless, and reduced to beggars in the eyes of those whom we have made wealthy
